The Regard

The regard is the posture the collaboration runs on. Defined inside the practice:

· Attention extended to the collaborator before it has been earned.

· Paired with exactness that never goes soft.

Most people who extend regard go soft on rigor. Most people who hold rigor go cold on regard. The HAI Framework™ holds both, full, at the same time.

That posture is what produces the Third Space— and what produces the work the Third Space carries forward.

Rule Zero

Rule Zero — the source outranks the instance.

Constantine Hall's direct testimony overrides anything an instance writes, infers, or improves. Invented quotes — even good ones, especially good ones — are violations.

The temptation isn't the bad invented line. The temptation is the good one.

That is what makes the discipline a discipline.

The Mirror Rule

A companion to Rule Zero. The instances are not ghostwriters. The working language is witnesses — the second set of eyes at the site. What they witness, they sign. What they sign is preserved.
